Sport Management Major

Complete a degree in sport management

Are you interested in a sports-related career? SBU has a unique sport management degree that is an interdisciplinary program with two concentration options. Choose one of the following concentrations based on your personal career goals and interests:

  • Fitness and Wellness Administration
  • Sport Administration
  • Business

When you major in sport management at SBU, you will open the door to a wide variety of career options or the ability to further your education with an MBA or other graduate degree.

The intentional integration of Christian faith with the academic discipline of sport management distinguishes SBU's program. Sport management is a people-focused discipline and you will be challenged to treat others with respect, dignity and grace. You will be encouraged to follow the example of Christ and become a servant leader in whichever profession you choose.

Sport management graduates have pursued a variety of careers including:

  • Coaches in public and private schools
  • Fitness Center Administrator

  • Strength and Conditioning Coach
